Owner’s engineer in Korea
K2 Management is happy to announce that GS Yeongyang Windpower Co., Ltd., one of affiliates of GS E&R and the SPC for Yeongyang Wind Farm project, has chosen K2 Management as Owner’s Engineer for its 59.4 MW YeongYang Wind Farm project, located in YoengYang County in South Korea.
K2 Management has earlier assisted GS E&R and GS Yeongyang Windpower in closing the wind turbine supply contract for the project, scheduled for commissioning November 2015.
Civil work has started, while installation will commence early in 2015, and K2 Management will now help GS Yeongyang Windpower with a long list of Owner’s Engineer tasks. Scope of work for K2 Management includes:
- Inspection of WTG components at harbor side
- Securing inland transport of WTG component
- Inspection of WTG components at project site
- Planning of installation of cabling and turbines
- HSEQ management
- Project management
Announcing K2 Management’s engagement in closing the wind turbine supply contract, Jin Wee, Team Leader from the Wind Energy Development Team in GS E&R Corporation, said then:
