Priess Light Column Controller (LCC)

Priess Light Column Controller

In March 2016 Alfred Priess A/S introduced a new and more advanced control unit to operate our line of solar street lighting columns. This control unit has been developed to meet future requirements and provides functions to fulfill all the needs of our customers—now and in the future. We call it the Priess LCC (Light Column Controller).

The first year with the LCC proved a strong and stable concept, with all the modern features of a smart-light solar controller ready to face the future of smart city networks with integration of smart and environmental street lighting.

The Priess LCC electronic module is manufactured in Europe and assembled at the Priess factory in Denmark. It lives up to all the CE standards for Electromagnetic Interference (EMC) and electrical  safety standards for equipment covered by CE LVD (Low Voltage Directive). All testing, including the IP66 class testing of the LCC, has been carried out  by accredited laboratories in Denmark.

Therefore we are very proud to announce the certification of the most advanced solar control unit on the market with its new CE label. Read more and download a letter of conformity relating to the CE-label at our homepage (http://www.priess.dk/en/solar-street-lighting/solar/priess-solar-technology)

New developments to be announced:

The Priess LCC is not a static product, but a modular and modern piece of advanced computer electronics in a constant development process. Later this year, several new improvements  regarding the functions of the controller will be announced. Installations with a dedicated WiFi hotspot can already be linked up to the internet access of our customers. The Internet connection of the LCC controller is now being tested with the Nabto communication software to ensure seamlessly customer experience for users with and without network knowledge. This new internet access is expected to be released for sale in September/October 2017 together with a  new sub-module (hardware) for the controller. It will make internet access possible via a GSM SIM-card.
