When you arrive to Aarhus from the highway, you can't help to spot the beautiful headquarters of Krifa. The impressive sight from outside is matched perfectly by the impressive view on the inside. When you enter the main entrance, you are instantly met by a triple high room with a greenwall from Natural Greenwalls. The green and living plant wall helps provide good acoustics and humidity and it elegantly filters sunlight in the building.

Krifa has chosen a solution with a living plant wall because they want something organic that can help stabilize the humidity in the indoor environment. It has also been crucial that the plant wall is nice to look at. The choice fell on Natural Greenwalls largely because the system is simple, safe and service-friendly.

Krifa already had a green wall installed prior to chosen Natural Greenwalls, but because of water leaks, they decided to change the whole green wall to the Natural Greenwalls-system instead. Since, there haven't been any problems, thanks to the patented and danish developed technology.

598 litres of water saved - per square meter

Natural Greenwalls is a unique and patented system for green walls. The system uses significantly less water and fertilizer than the competing systems: Only 1,5 litres of water per square meter per week, and 50 millilitres fertilizer per 10 litres water. That is at least seven times less water than the competing systems on the market - or 598 litres of water less per square meter per year.

Acoustic enhancing plants

The larger the leaf of the plant is, the better is it to absorb sound - and with the Natural Greenwalls system there are 30 plants per square meter - which leaves 3.660 plants at Krifa to improve the acoustics.

The air pollution abatement from the greenwall is also worth noticing. Plants have a documented effect on air quality, and with 3.660 plants Krifa will receive a noticeable difference even in such a big domicile.
