Over a period of six months, Vestas Northern Europe has installed 48 wind turbines near Havsnäs in Sweden. During this period, 50 technicians have been based in the Site Facility camp 15 minutes from the construction site.

The construction of the camp included services such as: establishing roads, drainage, water supply, installation of electricity, construction of stabile camp foundation, construction of housing facilities, HSE programme and contingency plan. 

The finished camp consists, among other things, of: reception, canteen, kitchen, laundry, cinema, fitness, terraces, game room with game consoles, pool, etc. Plus 50 single rooms with shower, toilet, kitchenette, internet and television. During the six month period, six Site Facility staff members have been in charge of the site facility services including: cooking, cleaning, staffing the reception, refuse collection and disposal, day-to-day operation and repair as well as shuttle bus to and from the airport.
