Energie Steiermark Power Plant in Graz, Austria has replaced their existing water treatment plant for producing makeup water. One of their main concerns was to avoid the use of chemicals.

SILHORKO-EUROWATER designed a solution using a double pass RO, membrane degasser and EDI. A chemical free solution removing oxygen and 90% of the organic substances ensuring ultrapure water of very high quality.

By removing organic substances and oxygen from the district heating water, as well as adjusting the pH value, the basis for corrosion is removed - including microbial corrosion - extending the life of pipes, valves, exchangers and fittings.
