HOE360 Consulting participated in a workshop and subsequently developed a number of ideas and solutions for visual communication, markings, signage, and directions pointers on existing and forthcoming Cycle Super Highways in the Greater Copenhagen area (see link to pdf on right hand side of screen).

A Cycle Super Highway is cycle connections in forms of tracks or lanes that are suitable for longer commutes. They have to meet a set of criterias concerning service level and quality. There are planned to be 500 kilometres of Cycle Super Highways in the Greater Copenhagen area divided into 28 routes. The work is a joint effort between 22 municipalities.

The ideas and solutions were delivered as an Idea-catalogue. The solutions focused on improving the level of service for cyclists, securing a higher familiarity, and improving the way the user orientates and finds his way to make a better choice of route.

The assignment covered the economic evaluation of individual initiatives and estimating conditions around regulatory approval.
