Steel frames for plugs and moulds

Dencam Composite has become an important player on the global market for wind energy and since the start-up of the company’s mould production almost two years ago, Dencam Composite has produced 10 main moulds as well as several internal mould parts for blade production. Steel frames are an important part of blade mould production and by insourcing this task, Dencam wishes to increase control in the production and ensure the best quality of the end product.

The advantages of having the production of steel frames close at hand are many. Besides having the opportunity to continually follow up on the quality, which is crucial to the condition of the end product, Dencam gets more influence on the logistics and capacity planning.

In connection with the start-up of the new steel frame production, Dencam Composite has engaged experienced people with competences in steel preparation and welding as well as expanded its production area with 3500 m2 production halls, located in Nr. Lyndelse in immediate distance to the company’s mould production. The expansion of Dencam Composite means that the company now has over 12.000 m2 at its disposal for production of plugs, moulds and steel frames respectively.

Besides the steel frame production, other activities that cannot yet be disclosed are planned in the new production facilities.
