Better Energy will install solar photovoltaic (PV) rooftop systems on five logistics facilities across Denmark for Logicenters. The project is Logicenters’ largest environmental investment to date and their first investment in solar energy.

Better Energy will soon begin the installation of rooftop solar panels on five of Logicenters’ logistics facilities in Denmark. In total, the solar panels are estimated to produce 5.9 GWh of green energy per year. Logicenters, the largest owner and developer of modern logistics properties in the Nordic region, won the Danish Energy Agency’s 2018 tender to install rooftop solar panels on five logistics facilities across Denmark. Integrating clean energy is in line with Logicenters’ approach to sustainable development and demonstrates their commitment to the community and customers in a very visible way.

“We are very happy to strengthen Logicenters properties with substantial renewable energy production. This project enables us to help our customers reach their sustainability goals and to supply them with green power,” comments Johan Hallgren Madsen, responsible for Energy Performance, Logicenters, NREP.

“We’re seeing a significant increase in demand for Better Energy Solar Systems from commercial customers. Cost-effective systems and rising utility rates make solar a smart investment for them. Solar PV is also low maintenance and can supply companies with clean energy for many years. While the challenge of powering the country with green energy may seem insurmountable, just one company can accelerate change on the ground,” explains EVP Sales Nicolai Faaborg Andresen, Better Energy.

All five rooftop systems are scheduled to be fully operational in 2019 on properties located in Greve, Horsens, Høje Taastrup, Ishøj and Aarhus.
