State of Green
Amid geopolitical shifts and global uncertainties, 2025 reaffirmed that green progress thrives through international cooperation. Throughout the year, State of Green took part in 22 global events – as organiser, co-organiser or branding partner – reflecting a strong and growing demand for Danish green solutions.
From events like WindEurope, EuroHeat & Power Congress, and World Hydrogen Week to smaller-scale roundtables, site visits and networking sessions, we helped build platforms for knowledge sharing and cross-border collaboration.
A key highlight came in March, during the Official Danish State Visit to France led by His Majesty King Frederik X. As the official branding partner, we assisted in promoting a business delegation of over 50 Danish companies. The visit resulted in a new strategic partnership between Denmark and France – with a focus on renewable energy, heat decarbonisation and resilient infrastructure.
Later in the year, Denmark held the EU Council Presidency, where State of Green contributed with branded materials at official venues and hosted site visits – including boat tours in Copenhagen for visiting attachés.
We also engaged at both London Climate Action Week in July and New York Climate Week in September, co-hosting roundtable sessions on topics like energy efficiency, biodiversity and green finance.
Finally, while COP30 in Brazil fell short of expectations on the political front, the Danish Pavilion remained a business success – gathering 30+ Danish solution providers and drawing significant international attention.
Once again this year, our showroom House of Green in the heart of Copenhagen has been a lively hub for dialogue and inspiration.
In total, we welcomed 2,588 visitors from 173 delegations – all of whom received an introduction to Denmark’s green transition and were connected with innovative solution providers from across industries and sectors.
Delegations spanned across key markets like China, the US, Germany, Australia, and India to Chile, Georgia and Tunisia, as well as several multinational groups. Guests ranged from universities and journalists to government officials and C-suite executives – including ministers from Armenia, Estonia, the UK and Oman.
In 2025, the State of Green publishing team delivered five new publications, each showcasing Denmark’s expertise and solutions across a range of sectors:
Biosolutions – Creating climate impact with nature’s own toolbox
A deep dive into one of Denmark’s fastest-growing green sectors, highlighting how biology-based technologies can drive sustainable change.
Wind Energy – Powering the future
Published ahead of WindEurope 2025 in Copenhagen, this white paper presents the full wind value chain in Denmark – from world-class test facilities to offshore deployment and grid integration.
Energy renovation of buildings – Realising the untapped potential of the built environment
An updated look at how energy efficiency, public-private collaboration and smart policies can unlock the climate potential of existing buildings.
Towards sustainable industries
Released in July, this white paper explores how circularity, efficiency, and innovation can help industrial sectors decarbonise while maintaining competitiveness.
Towards zero – Pathways to decarbonise global shipping
As attention turned to the IMO meeting in October, this updated publication showcased Danish leadership in the move toward carbon-neutral shipping.
In 2025, State of Green uploaded several new podcast episodes as part of the Sound of Green universe. The podcast features conversations with public and private actors sharing insights and stories from Denmark’s green transition.
A new feature this year was the launch of the Next Stop: Green Business miniseries in summer 2025, with episodes released throughout the second half of the year. The miniseries introduces nine Danish companies that are turning the challenge of sustainable value chains into a competitive advantage — proving that green business is good business.

Throughout the year, we published 119 news stories and perspective pieces on stateofgreen.com, covering everything from new wind tenders, carbon capture projects and green industrial milestones to EU climate targets and global partnerships.
At the same time, 185 new solutions were added to our online database – featuring projects across all sectors, including floating solar parks, biodiversity assessment tools, and district heating systems, to world-first projects, such as the world’s first methanol facility.
Released in the days before Denmark took on the EU Presidency, State of Green and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched a new digital map highlighting green projects and partnerships across Europe. The map, which was on display at the official EU Presidency venue in Copenhagen, showcases more than 30 real-world case stories, showing how Danish expertise contributes to Europe’s green transition.
