DHI and State of Green strengthen collaboration through associate partnership

As the global demand for climate resilience and water security grows, sustainable water management is key to addressing the world’s environmental and societal challenges. Building on an already well-established collaboration, DHI and State of Green have now entered into an associate partnership.

DHI and State of Green have entered an associate partnership, strengthening an already strong collaboration for the coming years. The partnership brings DHI into State of Green’s network of existing strategic partners, collectively representing the forefront of Denmark’s green transition.

“We’re delighted to welcome DHI as an associate partner and to continue building on our close collaboration. With DHI’s long-standing leadership in sustainable water management and digital water solutions, we gain a strong partner committed to advancing global water resilience. I’m confident that this partnership will benefit both parties, and we look forward to working together,” says Finn Mortensen, Executive Director of State of Green.

State of Green and DHI have a strong history of collaboration, most recently during international activities such as the Royal Visit to Paris in 2025. The reinforced partnership will continue to centre on key areas including climate adaptation, integrated water resources management, digitalisation, and water-energy nexus solutions.

“We are pleased to enter into an associate partnership with State of Green and to be part of a strong platform that promotes Denmark’s green solutions globally. At DHI, we believe that sustainable water management and the green energy transition are fundamental to addressing many of the world’s most pressing climate and development challenges. This partnership enables us to share insights, foster collaboration, and support the global journey towards more resilient and water-secure societies,” says Mikael Kamp Sørensen, Executive Vice President of Energy & Water Resources of DHI.

A focus on sustainable water management and digital transformation

In a world increasingly shaped by climate change, population growth, and urbanisation, sustainable water management is critical to ensuring resilient societies and ecosystems. With decades of global expertise, DHI supports governments, utilities, and companies in developing data-driven solutions that secure access to clean water, safeguard coastal areas, and enhance urban resilience. DHI also brings deep expertise to the offshore wind and hydropower sectors, contributing to the sustainable development of renewable energy by reducing design and development risks and ensuring biodiversity protection.

Through innovative modelling tools and digital platforms, DHI helps bridge the gap between science and decision-making, empowering stakeholders to make informed choices about water use, infrastructure, and environmental protection. The company has also been at the forefront of integrating nature-based solutions and climate adaptation into water planning worldwide.

In this context, State of Green looks forward to continuing the collaboration with DHI and to jointly promoting the importance of sustainable water solutions in shaping a more climate-resilient and liveable society.
