Green shipping: From ambition to action

Denmark is committed to achieving climate-neutral shipping by 2050. As one of the world’s largest shipping nations, Denmark combines global reach with cutting-edge green solutions – from large-scale offshore wind and energy efficiency to carbon capture and next-generation fuels.

With every fifth minute marking the arrival of a Danish-operated vessel at a port somewhere in the world, the sector is already shaping the future of zero-emission shipping. In collaboration with partners around the globe, Denmark is supporting the development of the IMO’s Net-Zero Framework and scaling the infrastructure, skills and investments needed for a just and inclusive transition.
