May 2025 marked the opening of the world’s first large scale e-methanol factory in Kassø, Denmark as a joint effort between its owner European Energy and the LEGO Group, A.P. Moller – Mærsk and Novo Nordisk.
The LEGO Group will use this new material in some of its rigid elements, like cross-axles, connectors and even minifigure hands – helping them move further towards their ambition to make LEGO products from more sustainable materials by 2032.
