New contract with SEV

image
28 July 2017
ENFOR signs new forecasting agreement with SEV, the power company of the Faroe Islands. The contract covers delivery of power production forecasts for the hydro-power plants on Faroe Islands. The Faroe Islands are an isolated island society. The option of buying electricity from neighbouring countries does not exist. The obligation to supply power as well as run the power supply system results in a 24-hour obligation. It is SEV's responsibility to have enough capacity to keep the system running, to fix technical problems and problems with production units. Therefore ENFOR is exited to have been selected supplier of hydro power forecasting and further develop the cooperation which already consists of wind power forecasting.
The power company SEV is owned by all the municipalities in the Faroe Islands.
