We invite you to join us on a Technical Tour to one of Denmark’s leading environmental companies and learn more about how they are ensuring that circularity and reuse of materials in industrial scale is a good and sustainable business.
You will gain comprehensive understanding of the importance of circularity in waste management and sustainable development, and how RGS Nordic and its partners are leading the way in this vital pursuit
The construction sector is responsible for a staggering 40% of Denmark’s total waste, making the reuse of materials critical in tackling the climate and biodiversity crisis. At RGS Nordic, they receive roughly 1/3 of Denmark’s construction waste and through innovative and collaborative efforts with leading industry actors ensure that 99% of this waste is either reused or recycled.
During this tour, participants will have the opportunity to explore the largest waste management facility in Denmark, based in Amager, Copenhagen. RGS Nordic, who runs the facility, will show firsthand how they transform used ROCKWOOL insulation into new Rockcycle insulation products, in partnership with ROCKWOOL Denmark. You will also see how waste plaster is repurposed into new plaster walls by Saint-Gobain Gyproc.
Lastly, you will gain an indepth understanding of the crucial role of innovation and collaboration in RGS Nordic’s efforts to close the loop and unlock the potential of circularity in addressing Scope 3 emissions.
*For participation, we recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes. Safety vests will be provided.
The tour will be conducted in English.
