Energy optimization at Aarhus University Hospital in Jutland
In the spring of 2014, we received the great news that ALECTIA had won the assignment for managing the energy optimization of the ventilation plant and the conversion of the BMS at the facilities of Aarhus University Hospital in Skejby. ALECTIA won the assignment in tough competition with 5 large consultant teams: Bascon, COWI, Grontmij, NIRAS and Balslev.
“Aarhus University Hospital is one of our very important clients, and through the years we have had an excellent cooperation with the hospital, completing several assignments for them. We are very happy and proud to win this assignment now,” said project manager in ALECTIA Thøger Haugstrup.
ALECTIA wins on expertise and experience
A large part of the existing plants originate from the establishment of the hospital in the 1980s, and they are due for a replacement. ALECTIA won the assignment in a mini-tender where the participants competed on three parameters:
- CV’s (40%)
- Proposed solutions (30%)
- Price (30%)
ALECTIA’s proposed solution got a high score and was assessed to be “the most profitable offer”. Particularly, ALECTIA’s CV’s and project organisation area were crucial factors. We have offered a strong organisation comprising key employees with specialized knowledge of energy optimization, BMS and hospital buildings, as well as specific knowledge of Aarhus University Hospital, Skejby.
Framework agreement with SKI
The assignment for energy optimization in Skejby comes under one of ALECTIA’s framework agreements with SKI (National Procurement Ltd. – Denmark), which includes consulting services within the areas health, research and education. The work is expected to be carried out in the period 2014-2018.
