The Agreement on a Green Denmark is a historic agreement outlining a fundamental reorganization of land use across Denmark as well as initiatives to protect the environment and reduce climate impact. This includes new forest, conversion of lowland farmland, increased biodiversity, enhanced water quality efforts, CO2 tax on livestock production, future-oriented, competitive and sustainable food production and 23 local tripartite groups, where municipalities, landowners and the state work together to protect nature.
