ProjectZero accelerates Sønderborg’s green transition through real-world action. Since 2007, the initiative has helped reduce energy-related CO₂ emissions by 75 %, showing that ambitious climate targets can be turned into measurable results.
The Sønderborg area functions as a living lab for the integrated energy system, where energy efficiency, renewable energy, district heating, electrification and sector coupling are developed, tested and scaled in practice.
The recipe not only has the potential to solve the climate challenge in Sønderborg. It can be used all over the world. We aim to inspire other cities to take on their green transition for a stronger positive impact on our climate.
