Danish state visit to Australia

The official state visit to Australia is led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

State of Green is the official brand partner.

Australia and Denmark share a common ambition: to create greener, more energy-efficient cities for the future. With buildings responsible for 40% of global energy use and nearly 39% of greenhouse gas emissions, the built environment holds enormous potential for climate impact – if addressed with the right solutions.

Australia is taking decisive steps toward net zero by investing heavily in sustainable construction, urban retrofitting, and smart housing. To meet these goals, the country will need to invest DKK 131 billion annually in green building solutions by 2030 – opening doors to international partners with proven expertise.

Denmark brings decades of experience in sustainable architecture, energy-efficient building design, and integrated renewable technologies. Danish companies offer innovative, scalable solutions that align with Australia’s goals – from smart materials and circular construction to public-private models that enable holistic urban transformation.
