Our projects combine renewable power generation, green hydrogen production and eFuels synthesis at integrated facilities, using proven technologies that operate flexibly on-grid or off. The eFuels we produce include green methanol, ammonia and kerosene, with off-takers primarily in the maritime and aviation sectors. In addition to serving as feedstock for eFuels, our green hydrogen can help heavy industry and district heating networks decarbonize their operations.

We currently have projects in different stages of development in Europe and India, with the Americas as an additional near-term focus market. For Europe and India, we have set a target of 10 GW installed green energy by 2030. This amounts to approximately 2 million metric tons of eMethanol per year, enabling the abatement of over 4 million metric tons of CO₂ annually – the equivalent of taking a million cars off the road.

Umwelt Energy is committed to benefiting the communities where we operate. We create jobs, supply green electricity, and explore ways to provide clean water, heat and other services. We avoid placing solar PV installations on suitable farmland, we are mindful of local water and grid constraints, and we source the captured CO₂ we use for eMethanol synthesis from local industry, using biogenic CO₂ where possible.
