We strive for a green, carbon neutral future through an accelerated electrification of society. Denmark is a pioneering country within renewable energy technology and solutions.
Today, wind and solar power covers more than 46 percent of Denmark’s electricity consumption, and we have one of the world’s most flexible and stable electricity grids, counting for 99.99 percent security of electricity supply.
Denmark has a target of a 70 percent reduction in CO2 emissions by 2030 (compared to 1990 levels) and 100 percent climate neutrality by 2050.
We take responsibility for creating the necessary framework and conditions to meet those targets and push for a collective effort in the green transition.
Green Power Denmark was formed in 2022 as a merger between Dansk Energi (Danish Energy), Wind Denmark, and Solar Power Denmark.
The three organisations have more than 55 years of experience working to promote optimum framework conditions for energy companies, owners of renewable energy systems, companies distributing electricity in Denmark, as well as supporting business and value chain development in the green energy industry in Denmark.
