China Welcomes Danish Wind Power Expertise
25 Danish companies in the wind power industry including BaltShip, C.C. Jensen, EUM Wind Power Technologies Service, Niebuhr Gears, Nissens and VIKING Life-saving Equipment were part of the Danish pavilion at the China Wind Power conference on 15-16th of November, in order to promote Danish industry knowledge to Chinese stakeholders.

Growing Chinese market
The Chinese wind power industry is the biggest in the world and is growing very fast. Because of Denmark’s position as a world leading wind nation with major research institutions, testing facilities and supply chains as well as leading companies in the industry, the Chinese market has become mature for Danish expertise.

Attention from offical Chinese stakeholders
The opening ceremony of China Wind Power was attended by Vice Minister of the Chinese National Environment Agency (NEA), Liu Qi and Deputy Director General of Renewable Energy, Shi Lishan, also from NEA. The attention from official Chinese side was an important signal to the Danish wind industry and recognition of the Danish competencies. The Danish ambassador to China, Friis Arne Petersen and Vice Minister Morten Bæk from the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Buildings (KEBMIN) also participated in the expo.
Danish experience useful to China
Ambassador Petersen and Vice Minister Bæk opened the official conference of China Wind Power 2012 together with Vice Minister Liu and Deputy Director General Shi. Ambassador Petersen said:
“It is my hope that the Danish experience can be useful to China, especially within offshore wind, where Danish companies produce reliable and efficient solutions for large scale offshore wind power production. It is my hope that through the continued development of wind power we will be able to develop a green and sustainable future for our two countries”.
