VIDEO: Company visit at Spica Technology

Monday on April 8, Spica Technology has the pleasure to host a company visit for 20 wind turbine enthusiasts who had chosen to spend their afternoon with Spica Technology to learn more about the company and how to succeed with export in the global wind turbine market. After the presentations, the guests had a tour in Spicas facilities on Ørstedsvej and the production in Silkeborg.

The afternoon event was held in collaboration with ErhvervSilkeborg and Danish Export Association.

The presenters:
- Sebastian Schwarz from Danish Export Association
- Benny Thomsen from Spica Technology

The DNA of Exports
Sebastian Schwarz enlightened the participants at the event in the DNA of exports which is an analysis and recipe based on several years of international research and statistical data on Danish companies completed by Tuborg Research Centre for Globalisation and Firms, Aarhus University together with Danish Export Association.

Only 6% of the Danish companies are exporting, and 10% of the export companies are actually carrying 90% of the total export. The analysis shows that those companies that succeed in export in the global market have 5 successful factors in common:

- Costs
- People
- Productivity
- Network
- Quality

The right mindset is everything
With a turnover of 67% export, Spica Technology is part of the 6% exporting companies. For Spica, it is all about having the right mindset in the company and among the employees. It takes time, patience, focus and stability to succeed in the global wind turbine market - that is Spicas DNA of export to succeed in the wind turbine business.

At Spica Technology, the employees are wind turbine specialists in electrical control panels and control systems. Spica Technology take on projects from small one-day projects to large-scale engineering projects such as development projects from idea to installed solution - with the capacity to make a single customised solution into a production of series.
