Project Manager (Biodiversity & Green Financing)
With 2023 being the hottest year in global temperature data records along with concerning levels of biodiversity loss, the next two years have been deemed critical for effective climate action. The focus for this New York Climate Week is to make sure that we lay the groundwork for the important discussions and negotiations that will take place at COP16 in Cali, Colombia, and at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The discussions will revolve around how do we deliver on the commitment from COP28 to triple global renewable energy capacity by 2030? How do we ensure the mobilization of catalytic climate finance needed? And how do we implement the Global Biodiversity Framework to make sure that we bridge business and biodiversity?
