How the Ministry supports the green transition

The mission of the Danish Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs is to create Europe’s most competitive and innovative economic condition in order to make Denmark an attractive place to work and run a company.

In recent years, the task of supporting the green business development has moved to the top of the Ministry’s policy-agenda. The Ministry  is i.a. actively supporting the following initiatives:

  • The 14 Climate Partnerships
  • The Green Business Forum, which track the implementation of the climate partnerships’ proposals
  • The goal of making shipping climate neutral by 2050
  • The implementation of EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance.
  • The development of five new Green Clusters (see case).
