Vestas Confirms Large Mexican Contract

Vestas could already confirm last week that it had been selected as the preferred supplier to the Eólico Reynosa wind turbine park in Tamaulipas, which is situated in the north-eastern part of Mexico.

The company has now divulged that the contract has been awarded, meaning that Vestas will need to deliver 123 of their V136-3.45 wind turbines by the end of 2017. Once built, the wind park will be the largest in Mexico, consisting of 424MW.

In addition to the wind turbines, the deal also includes a 15 year service agreement.
