New Exhibition Showcases How to Make New York More Sustainable and Resilient

Danish Cleantech Hub is an initiative backed by the Confederation of Danish Industry and State of Green, in collaboration with New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering through the Urban Future Lab.

- New York has a lot to learn from Denmark’s longstanding tradition in cleantech solutions. We are therefore grateful that the Danish Cleantech hub has made this exhibition possible. It is truly a visual expression of the close partnership on clean and sustainable solutions between the City of New York and Denmark, says Kyle Kimball, president of NYCEDC.

The partnership with New York is a great opportunity for Danish cleantech companies who have emerged as global leaders in energy efficiency, climate adaptation and resilient solutions after decades of political focus on sustainability.

- There is no question that the expertise and know-how of the Danish companies in the Danish Cleantech Hub matches New York’s ambition to reduce energy consumption and make the city more resilient to changing weather conditions. The Danish Cleantech Hub provides a single point of entry for all cleantech related activities between Denmark and New York, says CEO Karsten Dybvad, Confederation of Danish Industry, one of the main partners behind the exhibition and the Danish Cleantech Hub.

The Danish government is thrilled about the growing focus on Danish cleantech solutions in New York.

- New York, Copenhagen and Denmark each have put forward ambitious climate plans where cutting edge cleantech solutions are key to reaching the goals. This exhibition is a strong new platform for co-operation, focusing on new cleantech solutions which can make New York an even greater place to live, says ambassador Jarl Frijs-Madsen, Consul General of Denmark in New York.

The exhibit will be a permanent part of the Danish Cleantech Hub’s installation at the New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering, Urban Future Lab.
