Join us for an exclusive network event at the 2024 ICLEI European Conference on Sustainable Cities & Towns

Join State of Green and Creative Denmark for an exclusive after-hours networking event in Kedelhallen, Aalborg, where the entire value chain in urban development will be brought together—from city developers to architects.

The event will start with an optional site visit along the harbour, where Danfoss and SLA will present their solutions.

Flemming Voetmann, Vice President of External Relations and Sustainability at VELUX, will welcome attendees with a keynote speech, providing valuable insights into VELUX’s holisitc approach to urban development. Follwed by a keynote speech from Søren Tortzen, Head of Department at C.F Møller Architects. Søren Tortzen has played a significant role in the transformation of Aalborg’s waterfront – a haven for urban planners.

With the overall theme of the ICLEI European Conference – “Sustainable Cities and Towns: 30 Years of Transformation” – in mind, this networking event will facilitate face-to-face dialogue on how we can shape sustainable urban futures through local action and international collaboration. Emphasis will be placed on the intersection of urban development, climate action, and sustainability, ensuring that we address challenges holistically by involving every part of the urban development process.

Get a chance to meet like-minded peers, experts and solutions providers from Denmark’s urban sectors while enjoying a selection of food and beverages. The event will bring together Danish and international urban experts, municipal representatives, developers, and other stakeholders with a chance to meet and exchange experiences.

A tour through the history of the harbour by Thomas Birket-Smith, Architect at Aalborg Muncipality. Presentations from Judith Neijzen, Group Public Affairs Manager at Danfoss and Karsten Thorlund, Partner and Head of SLA Aarhus.
