ADEPT is an architectural firm based in Copenhagen and Hamburg, founded in 2006. They believe in places over buildings, viewing the city as an organism emerging from synergies among people, functions, and spaces. Operating at all scales, from climate-conscious urban planning to sustainable building architecture, landscapes, and public spaces.

Their studio located in Altona, gives a unique insight into the work that goes on at ADEPT. Employing around 55 dedicated architects, urban planners, engineers, and landscape architects, that aims to encourage users, clients, the professional community, as well as the world around us to handle limited global resources more responsibly. Working across a broad spectrum of architectural scales and project sizes, designing holistic and circular places, spaces, and communities that respect the human scale. 

About the site visit:

Associated partner Tanja Jauernig and Office manager Guido Roth will welcome our group to ADEPT’s Altona premises and present some of the latest ADEPT projects in Germany – as well as add their perspective to developing projects in a balance between Danish and German approaches when working with both sustainable architecture and urban planning.

Touching on topics such as urban liveability, mobility and circular design approach, the ADEPT team will invite you into the thoughts behind their integrated sustainable strategies and their views on benefits of cross-disciplinary collaborations.
