At the same time agricultural waste residues are being burnt in the fields and the energy potential of this raw material is lost.
Instead, the agricultural waste, if dried and downsized, can be used to produce briquettes as fuel in cooking or larger tea factories as heating.

The international company Del Monte has large plantations of pineapples in Kenya. Our local customer Global Supply Solutions has obtained the right to utilize Del Monte’s residues from pineapple to produce briquettes.

Problem with non sustainable wood fuel

In Kenya it is a big problem that non sustainable wood fuel is being used extensively. The new fuel is sustainable and will be used to replace the wood fuel.

C.F. Nielsen has engineered the plant, which consists of 4x BP6510 briquetting presses and a high capacity down-sizing plant for agricultural residue. The plant will later be expanded with a drying plant.
