At Troldtekt, we are working strategically to progress towards a circular economy. The entire Troldtekt range of cement-bonded wood wool products is Cradle to Cradle Certified® at gold level.

In our work with the Cradle to Cradle principles, we have achieved a number of milestones within the design concept’s five categories of certification criteria. For example, our production facility is powered by renewable sources of energy (wind power and biofuels).

We have achieved FSC and PEFC certification, which means that all the wood we use in Troldtekt acoustic panels is certified according to the leading responsible forestry management standards. In spring 2022, we introduced new paint recipes in our production, paving the way for Troldtekt’s advancement from silver to gold rating.

Also, we work with return models that can give Troldtekt acoustic panels one or even more extra life cycles. Programmes for cement-bonded wood wool leftovers from Troldtekt’s own production and customer building sites have been established in Denmark. Our ambition is also to reuse, recycle and upcycle panels from demolition sites.
