Wind. It means the world to us.
Vestas is your global partner on sustainable energy solutions. We design, manufacture, install, and service wind turbines across the globe, and with more than 97 GW of wind turbines in 80 countries, we have installed more wind power than anyone else.
Through our industry-leading smart data capabilities, we use data to interpret, forecast, and exploit wind resources and deliver best-in-class wind power solutions. Together with our costumers, Vestas’ more than 24,300 employees are bringing the world sustainable energy solutions to power a bright future.
As a leading renewable energy company, Vestas has announced that the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) has validated their greenhouse gas reduction targets and confirmed them as in line with the levels required to keep global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial temperatures, the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement.
The world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer is also set to become the world’s first producer of zero waste wind turbines. This will be achieved by developing and implementing a new waste-management strategy, introducing a circular economy approach in the different phases of the value chain.
The 310 MW Lake Turkana wind park, the largest in Vestas’ history by number of turbines, is a true testament to Vestas’ strong capabilities in emerging markets. The project adds 310 MW of clean, reliable electricity capacity to the Kenyan national grid and will generate more than 1,400 GWh of power per year. Based on […]
