Showcasing the digital solutions from the Danish district heating sector

By gathering examples of inspiration on how to utilise data and digital tools in the district heating sector, a new Danish case catalogue aims to foster further digitalisation and energy efficiency in the sector.

Heating up the Twin Transition

The potential for digitalisation in district heating and energy efficiency in both Denmark and Netherlands is considerable and largely untapped. We have gathered key insights and solutions to kickstart the collaboration and digitalisation.

Discover insights and solutions

With heating in buildings and homes accounting for almost 25% of global energy consumption, and 20% of all energy-related greenhouse gas emissions, the need for innovative solutions to optimise energy efficiency in the heating sector is essential. Technology and data can very well be the answer to optimising production and conserving energy. By heating the “twin transition”, aligning the digital transformation with the clean energy transition, we can unlock several benefits and reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Case catalogue: Digitalisation of the Danish District Heating Sector

The case catalogue gathers 18 cases of inspiration on how to use data and digital solutions in heating utilities across Denmark.

The cases include solutions from Danish companies, such as BiomassAuctions, Danfoss, Diehl Metering, DTU, ENFOR, EMD International, Kamstrup, KINGSPAN, LOGSTOR, Neogrid Technologies. NIRAS, Novotek, Softwærket and Utiligize.

Paving the way for further digitalisation

The case catalogue on “Digitalisation of the Danish District Heating Sector” gathers 18 cases of good examples of how to use digitalisation and data to optimise energy efficiency and daily work in heating utilities all over Denmark. By presenting concrete examples of how to implement digital solutions in practice, the aim is to inspire further digitalisation of the sector – both locally and globally. Focusing on “heating up the twin transition”, State of Green and its partners Danish District Heating Association and the Danish Board of District Heating seeks to facilitate dialogue and partnerships, pushing innovative solutions across the Danish borders.

Cases include solutions from Danish companies, such as BiomassAuctions, Danfoss, Diehl Metering, DTU, ENFOR, EMD International, Kamstrup, KINGSPAN, LOGSTOR, Neogrid Technologies. NIRAS, Novotek, Softwærket and Utiligize.
