Kamstrup prepares for global growth
2014 has been a year of progress for Kamstrup. A new test center for radio mesh communication underlined the wanted position as technological leader and a continued growth in number of employees made it possible to develop a number of new and better solutions for the market, which once again added positively to the annual result.
In just a few years Kamstrup has evolved from meter manufacturer to full service supplier, focusing on the entire value chain from metering to data analysis. The acquisition of eButler, a visualization tool for water and energy consumption, brought in new tools for utilities to analyze and optimize the supply grid.
Stronger global profile
In 2014 Kamstrup managed to grow in a market characterized by strong international competition. At year-end a number of large orders were closed, both at home and abroad, and the company has made bids for at number of major projects in 2015. To better meet the global competition Kamstrup enters 2015 with a new visual identity, symbolized by a new red- on- white logo.
"Kamstrup has undergone major changes in the last 10 years. The new visual identity mirrors the Kamstrup of today and the ambitions we have for the future", says Kamstrup CEO Per Asmussen.
Kamstrup has moved from taking a strong position in near markets to expanding globally. Today, the company holds offices in 23 countries and operates in more than 60 countries worldwide. 80 percent of the business comes from export markets.
"The new identity is a first important step to building a strong brand. It provides a clear vision for the future of intelligent metering systems. By anticipating our customers' challenges, we give them the opportunity to run a better business and inspire more intelligent and responsible solutions to the communities they serve", says Per Asmussen.
"It requires decisiveness and power to act to lead in technology and innovation. It has always been our hallmark and we will continue to do so, "says Per Asmussen.
