Global Conference Tackles Climate Action and Food Resilience

Agri Food & Climate Circle 2025 takes place in Copenhagen on the 1–2 October 2025, and the agenda is clear: climate action and securing a resilient food system must go hand in hand.

Lisbeth Henricksen

Executive Vice President at SEGES Innovation.

The international conference brings together decision-makers, business leaders, and researchers to explore one of the most urgent questions of our time: How do we ensure food security without compromising the climate?

Organised by SEGES Innovation, the conference aims to mobilise action in a time of geopolitical instability and increasingly fragile supply chains.

“In times like these, it is easy to lose sight of the long-term climate agenda. But if we fail to stop greenhouse gas emissions and global warming, or fail to adapt to a changing climate, supply to our food system will be seriously challenged,” says Lisbeth Henricksen, Executive Vice President at SEGES Innovation.

From ambition to action

Among the keynote speakers is Denmark’s Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries, Jacob Jensen, who will present the Danish Green Tripartite Agreement – a collaborative model that has drawn international attention for uniting farmers, industry, NGOs, and policymakers around a shared, ambitious climate commitment.

Participants will also hear from international experts and innovators working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, scale technologies, and build more resilient food systems. Speakers include representatives from the World Bank, Nestlé, BASF, Arla Foods, the EU Directorate-General for Environment, and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Sessions will cover themes such as regenerative agriculture, technological innovation, and cross-sector partnerships with an emphasis on moving from vision to implementation.

Agri Food & Climate Circle 2025 is not designed as a conventional conference, but instead as a working forum for those who want to collaborate and take actions.

“We believe that transformation happens, when people connect in interdisciplinary collaboration,” says Lisbeth Henricksen.
“That is the kind of space we’re creating in Copenhagen.”

The conference is relevant for anyone working with innovation, development, or policymaking in the transition towards a sustainable and climate-resilient agri-food sector.
