Established last year, the approximately 296.000 solar cell panels are now ready to become a research centre and attract companies within the energy sector, writes the local newspaper Vejle Amts Folkeblad.

The park has been planted by the Vejen-based company, Energi-Innovation and has a capacity of 50,4 MW. The owner Poul Svendson predicts great possibilities:

We will be able to produce a centre where you can test your projects in practice. When the sun is up, we have a surplus capacity of 25 MW that we are not able to utilise due to the grid’s capacity limit. We can use this for trials, Poul Svendsen tells the newspaper.

According to the executive at Erhvervspark Vandel, Ole-Steen Lyse, there is room for approximately ten companies in an old hangar in the research centre. Poul Svendson has already moved a part of Energi-Innovation into the hangar, where Clean Tech Brokers also just moved to.
