Water loss in Erzincan
In the town Erzincan in eastern Turkey, more than half of the water is wasted during the transport from the waterworks to the consumers. The water loss of the town is as much as 64% and is caused by a worn down and poorly maintained water system.

Better water conditions
In the next four years, Sweco is to improve the water conditions of the 90,000 inhabitants of Erzincan. Sweco is going to renew water pipes and improve the town’s wastewater treatment works – not least in order to live up to the environmental requirements of the EU within the water area.
