New recycling plant delivered to Mexico

Eldan Recycling, Faaborg has sold a complete cable granulation and separation plant to Viakon Conductores Monterrey, Mexico. The system will turn mixed cables and wire into pure copper and plastic at approx. 1000 kg per production hour.

Viakon Conductores Monterrey is the largest producer of electrical cables in Mexico. The company acquired their first Eldan cable recycling system 1984. After 30 years of production, the equipment is now replaced with more current equipment. “We have chosen Eldan equipment again due to the reliability and low maintenance cost says Hector Gámez Báez, Maintenance Manager Viakon  “Copper  is very expensive, which is why it is important for us as a cable producer to reuse any waste production material” says Francisco Monsiváis Contreras, Technical Manager at Viakon.

Viakon inspected the new equipment at their production facility in Faaborg. The plant will be installed in November 2012.
