Energy2020 comprises the interaction of the following main activities:

Energy Accounts:
An account has been created for all consumed energy in the whole of the geographical area of the municipality. Ringkøbing-Skjern is Denmark’s largest municipality geographically, and here the total energy consumption is 10.6 PJ. An equal amount of renewable energy must be produced locally.

Wind:
In 2015 wind turbines are expected to produce electricity equivalent to 3 to 4 PJ.

Bio Energy:
Biogas can be converted to power and heat equivalent to approximately 2 PJ.

Other Renewable Energy Sources:
Approximately 2 PJ are to be found here.

Buildings:
The buildings contribution are approximately 2 PJ.

Transport:
Transport contributes approximately 1 PJ.
