As climate urgency intensifies and global economies shift, companies leading the transition are no longer just measured by impact – but by speed. The 2026 edition of Corporate Knights’ Global 100 puts momentum in the spotlight, tracking which businesses are growing their sustainable revenues fastest.

Among them are six Danish companies making sustainability a core business driver:

  • Pandora (#2) – The Danish jewellery company made a dramatic leap from 48th to second place this year, reflecting its shift to 100 per cent recycled metals and lab-grown diamonds. With design and sourcing at the heart of its transformation, Pandora is setting a new standard for circularity in the consumer sector.

  • Novonesis (#8) – As a merger between previously nominated Novozymes and Chr. Hansen, Novonesis represents Denmark’s biosolutions sector on the global stage. The company’s innovations in enzymes, cultures and microbial technology position it at the frontier of new food, health and agriculture systems.
  • Ørsted (#9) – Ørsted retains its position as the world’s most sustainable wind developer. With one of the fastest and most complete transitions from fossil fuels to renewables, Ørsted continues to scale offshore wind while embedding sustainability into its operations.

  • NKT (#13) – As a provider of power cable solutions, NKT contributes to the electrification of Europe with sustainable technologies that enable renewable energy integration and transmission.
  • Vestas (#48) – Long recognised as a renewable energy leader, Vestas remains a top performer in enabling global decarbonisation through wind energy solutions and circular product strategies.

  • Novo Nordisk (#51) – As a leading life sciences company, Novo Nordisk continues its focus on health innovation and equitable access, reinforcing its long-term commitment to environmental and social performance.

Proving that green business is good business

This year’s ranking reflects a broader shift: it’s not just about how green a company is, but how fast it’s getting greener. With 15 Nordic companies included – and six from Denmark – the region continues to outperform on integrating sustainability into core business models.

Companies in the Global 100 now generate around 60 per cent of their revenue from sustainable sources – more than triple the market average. And according to Corporate Knights, these companies are not just greener; they’re performing better financially too, delivering a higher return than their global peers in 2025.
