Despite concerns that rising geopolitical tensions could weaken international climate cooperation, Denmark is sending its largest delegation to date. The delegation unites companies, authorities, financial institutions, and organisations under a common Danish banner at the Denmark Pavilion. It is organised by State of Green in collaboration with the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities, with the purpose of demonstrating how public-private collaboration translates climate ambitions into real action.

From commitment to action – 10 years after the Paris Agreement

COP30 marks the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement. Ahead of the conference, all countries are expected to submit updated and more ambitious national climate targets (NDCs), one of the key mechanisms driving global climate progress.

In a time of growing climate challenges, countries must now show that they can translate the Paris Agreement’s commitments and the results of the Global Stocktake into real implementation. The Global Stocktake provides a comprehensive overview of global progress towards the goals of the Paris Agreement. At COP30, the task will be to bridge the gap between political intention and practical implementation – crucial to keeping the 1.5°C target within reach.

The Danish business delegation comes to COP30 with technologies and green solutions that deliver results. Through cooperation between companies, authorities, and investors, the delegation will demonstrate how the green transition can be a source of competitiveness and help achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Danish green business participation stronger than ever

Today, Danish green companies represent the entire value chain – from wind energy, district heating, and energy efficiency to green fuels and circular resource use. At the same time, Denmark has been a pioneer in blended finance models, where public funds are used to de-risk green investments.

The Denmark Pavilion will host daily events, debates, and meetings, where Danish and international companies and organisations will present and discuss solutions within energy, infrastructure, industry, transport, agriculture, and green finance.

A small country playing a big role

With the EU Presidency, Denmark will play a central role at COP30. Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard will ensure that the EU speaks with one voice. Meanwhile, Danish companies will showcase how the green transition can strengthen both growth and competitiveness.

For decades, Denmark has translated climate ambition into action through close cooperation between businesses, authorities, and research institutions. With binding national climate targets, a proposal to advance climate neutrality to 2045, and an ambition for a 110 percent reduction by 2050, Denmark maintains its position as an international frontrunner.

For the Confederation of Danish Industry and State of Green, COP30 is not only about sharing Danish experiences but also about forging new partnerships and demonstrating that the green transition is economically sound when public and private actors work together.
