Power-to-X technologies play a central role in creating the much-needed flexibility required to create a sustainable and resilient energy system of tomorrow. In addition, there is a substantial amount of excess heat from Power-to-X processes that can be harnessed and utilised for sustainable district heating in local communities, improving both the sustainable energy supply to citizens as well as increasing the energy efficiency and carbon footprint in the PtX industry.

The white paper is co-funded by the EU’s Just Transition Fund as part of the Danish BeyondFossil program running from 2023-2028 and administered by Energy Cluster Denmark and GESEK. The project aims to promote the utilisation of green energy and phasing out of fossil fuels.
