Public-private partnerships are a vital part of the Danish model, playing a crucial role in advancing the green transition, where close cooperation between the public and private sectors are needed. For instance, the Danish government, in cooperation with Danish business, launched 14 climate partnerships to ensure the involvement of the private sector across all industries and thereby contribute to achieving the Danish government’s CO2 reduction target of 70% by 2030.
At the Trade Council of Denmark, the strategic sector focus within a number of green sectors is built on a broad whole-of-government approach to economic diplomacy, involving Danish industry and government collaboration, which together provide the solid framework for an ambitious sector-focused export promotion effort and ensures competitiveness and resilience among Danish companies.
