Around the world, environmental permitting is a critical tool for balancing economic development with environmental protection. Yet traditional permitting processes are often slow, fragmented, and paper-based, creating delays that hold back investments in renewable energy, infrastructure, and green transition.
Public authorities face mounting pressure to handle increasing volumes of permit applications while ensuring compliance with complex regulations. Without modern tools, governments risk creating bottlenecks for green transitions, undermining both climate goals and investor confidence.
To overcome these barriers, cBrain has implemented its F2® digital platform in Denmark, the U.S. and Ghana.
Instead of building bespoke IT projects, the solution applies a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) model, configured to match local laws and procedures.
In Denmark, the Environmental Protection Agency uses the system to handle complex environmental permits with AI support. In Ghana, the Environmental Protection Agency rolled out a fully digital process, cutting reliance on paper and manual approvals. In the U.S., cBrain® is working with agencies to align permitting with new federal standards.
Across all cases, the solution provides transparent, efficient, and scalable permitting that accelerates climate-critical investments.
The digital permitting solution has delivered significant results across regions.
In Denmark, ministries achieved full compliance with documentation and archiving requirements, improving from just 20–30% to 100%, while AI support enables faster, higher-quality decisions.
In Ghana, the Environmental Protection Agency has reduced processing times, making it easier for investors to pursue sustainable projects and strengthening regulatory capacity. In the U.S., the solution is positioned as a first mover in meeting new federal standards, ensuring faster approvals for renewable energy and infrastructure. Overall, governments save time and resources, investors gain certainty, and societies benefit from accelerated climate action.
