Located at the tip of Marble Pier, UN City provides office facilities for the UN organisations in Copenhagen under one roof. It is a state-of-the-art building in the field of energy efficiency and climate friendliness.

UN City functions as an energy-efficient building with a calculated energy consumption of less than 50 kWh/m2/year.

UN City has been designed to use at least 55% less energy than similar-sized office buildings. The need for energy is reduced through the adaptation of eco-friendly features that cut the need for energy used on heating, cooling, lighting and ventilation. More than 1400 solar panels are placed at the roof of the building equalling electric savings of 30%.

In 2012, UN City was awarded the European Commission’s Green Building Award for New Buildings.
