That is why everything at Thoravej 29 is about transforming society and mobilizing those who want to—and those who can. Thoravej 29 is a committed work community, a cross-sector network and meeting place, a stage for the future, a neutral ground—and a little more.

The community is driven by a deep belief that positive change in society is possible. Here, people and organizations come together across disciplines – art, social innovation, democracy, politics, digital innovation, and sustainability to break with habitual thinking and move each other, and the society we are part of, forward.

The building itself at Thoravej 29 has undergone an extensive transformation: from an old brick structure into a platform for new thinking. Architect Søren Pihlman took a radical approach to reuse from the very beginning, an ethos that has permeated the entire renovation. The result: CO2 emissions reduced by up to 88% compared to new construction, 95% of materials reused, and 90% of all waste minimized.

With creativity and sustainability at its core, the former industrial building has been turned into a space designed to inspire, challenge, and foster collaboration across fields.
