Lord Mayor Presents Copenhagen’s Green Solutions in New York
The Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Frank Jensen will visit San Francisco and New York from January 7-10. The agenda for the Lord Mayor’s visit is green solutions and sustainable urban development. In San Francisco, the Lord Mayor will meet with companies at the forefront of green technology and innovation.
In New York, the Lord Mayor will meet with top New York City officials. The Lord Mayor will present Copenhagen’s plan for how to become the world’s first carbon neutral capital by 2025. Among the topics for discussion are also adaptation to climate change and the C40 Climate Leadership network.
"Our city has made great progress in developing initiatives for a greener, greater New York," said Mayor Bloomberg. "Sharing ideas with large international cities with innovative sustainability agendas such as Copenhagen is a big part of our success and together we will continue to address the impacts of global climate change and strengthen how cities work toward those goals," says the Mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg.

It is precisely those cities that have the power to make investments and create jobs, while working to improve the environment and prevent new natural disasters,” says the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Frank Jensen.
