Ramboll performs Detailed Foundation Design, Design of Substation Platform, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Telecom for The Anholt Offshore Windfarm which is one of the largest offshore windfarms in the world today.
The customer of the project is Energinet.dk (Substation platform, EIA and Telecom) and Ørsted (Detailed Foundation Design).
Energinet.dk is an independent public company owned by the Ministry of Environment and Energy in Denmark. They own the main infra-structure for power and gas. Ørsted is a well-known, leading integrated energy company in the Nordic region.
Ramboll performed the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Detailed Foundation Design, substation Platform Design and Telecom.
The project comprises 80-170 wind turbines with a total output of 400 MW.
By 2013 The Anholt Offshore Wind Farm, will produce enough power to supply 400,000 households covering 4 percent of the total Danish power consumption.
The Anholt Offshore Wind Farm will connect the Anholt Island with the rest of the Danish electrical system and the diesel-powered generators will be taken out of service. Furthermore a strong electrical connection to the main land will give the islanders an opportunity to build larger wind turbines.
Ramboll performed the site development including full-scale Environmental Impact Assessment for the windfarm.
In phase I Ramboll Offshore Wind performed the Detailed Foundation Design which comprises Design Interface Sheet, Design Basis Part C and Design Briefs. Design Optimization Primary Structure. Design Optimization Secondary Structure. Phase II comprises Design Basis and Briefs for Certification, Detailed Design of Primary Structure for Foundations for Certification. Detailed Design of Secondary Structure for Foundations and Geotechnical Design.
