The challenge:
Heat recovery for district heat network with a free flow design on exhaust gas side.
Exhaust gas from paper drying machine is fully saturated with water at 55 ℃ C
Low pressure drop on gas side in order not to interfere with production
High condensation rate. Heat exchanger to handle fouling.
The solution:
A long, flue gas condenser with CIP nozzles
In operation since 2012. Only limited maintenance since installation
The heat recovered is boosted with heat pumps for local district network.
