Their experience and focus on renewable energy has made it obvious for them to look into a role also within wind power production.

The main role for Ramboll has been to be part of the negotiation team for the turbine procurement. Ramboll’s experience from previously built wind power projects in Norway has given the company valuable knowledge. Ramboll’s responsibilities have been to focus on turbine technology and operation & maintenance. Ramboll has been involved in evaluation, negotiations and preparation of contractual documents for the procurement of the turbines.

Securing local power supply. When establishing a wind farm with 54 MW installed capacity, the grid connection of the wind farm will contribute to a secure power supply to the local area where the wind farm is located.

In addition the project will contribute to the power supply in a part of the country where an increasing demand is creating challenges during wintertime.

The project is the first step of a planned portfolio of wind power projects located in the same area, both on- and offshore
