In the summer of 2013 eastern Europe was hit hard by severe rain and floodings. The Hungarian gas company KEG Gaz, 80 km north of Budapest, which has a major underground gas reservoir were under severe threat by the flood water from the Danube River.
Local authorities in Dunaalmas asked Environment Solutions for help to protect the underground reservoir and the plants operations. Just 6 hours upon arrival 400 meters of the NoFloods Mobile Barrier was fully deployed by a team of 3 people and surrounding the plant completely. The actual threat, the rising floodwater, was simply used to fill the NoFloods tubes. The NoFloods Barrier Twin Tube 125 has a recommended maximum flood water height of 800mm, but even though the floodwater rose to 910mm, the NoFloods Barrier succesfully held back the rising flood water. The barrier remained deployed to hold back the floodwater for a week.
